Description

With nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, Gabec is a company with traditions. It was founded in the summer of 1980 by Gabriel Kotkowski, and has been on the market ever since. In its early days, the company manufactured fasteners and metal accessories, largely for Poland’s burgeoning furniture industry, but also for customers in construction and electronic engineering. In 1994 the company became a civil partnership, and in 1995 the second generation of Kotkowskis took over management, continuing the firm’s dynamic development under the current name, Gabec, in reference to the founder’s first name. By modernizing its machine park and continuing to invest in new equipment and infrastructure, the company boosted its sales and broadened its client portfolio to include the automotive and home appliance industries. In 2000, Gabec broke ground on the construction of a new building in Potkanów, an industrial neighbourhood in the city of Radom. The company moved into its new headquarters in 2004 and remained there until 2018 when we launched state-of-art production hall with warehouse facilities still located in Radom but at Inwestycyjna 18. 

We supply special fasteners to a range of industries in which quality planning, precision, and punctuality are of the highest importance. Despite cultural differences and national borders, we speak the same language of quality as our customers all over the world. Our bolts, screws, rivets, bushings, and other specialist parts combine the ideas of different engineers into a single efficient mechanism.

In keeping with global quality assurance policies as well as ethical and environmental standards, Gabec supports the local community by protecting the environment and complying with Directive 2000/52/WE of the European Parliament and Council on end-of-life vehicles. We also comply with regulations governing the use of conflict minerals, as required by the Dodd-Frank Act.

Machinery park

Gabec is a world specialist of cold forming which is an efficient and consistent manufacturing process at very high dimensional accuracy and repeatability. It also characterizes of excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Cold forming makes for excellent quality products as parts are produced with low levels of material stress deformation what exchange for high levels of integrity, resulting in its reliability. 

We work on diverse range of machinery available at Gabec includes 2,4,5 as well as 6 and 7 stations heading machines at forging force exceeding 300 tons, rolling machines as well as CNC machining centres.

The state-of-art machinery park as well as structured and systematic organisation of the efficient processes exchange for reproductivity and outstanding quality of finish product. The key element of production processes is quality assurance based on the risk analysis which in fact constitute preventive detection principle with statistical quality management tools such as MSA or SPC as their foundation. In our in-house laboratory, except geometry and surface measurements we verify materials chemical composition, macroscopic metallography as well as the hardness and tensile strength.

It is absolutely crucial to identify and structure all requirements into one precise and coherent Advanced Product Quality Plan. Accurate composition of technical specification together with OEM’s specific requirements constitute milestones of each product deployment considered as an independent project.
