Latest News: Minister of National Economy  György Matolcsy speaking at AutoSEE
As Minister of National Economy, György Matolcsy has been crucial in attracting major investments of Volkswagen Group (Audi), General Motors (Opel) and Daimler (Mercedes-Benz) by offering them major incentives to initiate or step up their investments in Hungary. It has been estimated by the Ministry of National Economy  that the projects in Gyor, Szentgotthard, and Kecskemet  will add 2% to the contribution of the car sector to Hungarian GDP, lifting its output to around 5% of total economic output out from 3.1%.
