The seven millionth ŠKODA OCTAVIA has rolled off the production line at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav. The model’s beginnings date back to 1959. In the mid-90s, the first generation of the modern-day OCTAVIA was the first ŠKODA to be developed entirely under the umbrella of Volkswagen Group.

It wins plaudits as a van, family MPV, shuttle and camper with limitless versatility: the Caddy. To date over three million have been built, and now, as a world première, VWCV is revealing the progressive, fifth generation of the Caddy. Every detail from the ground up is new, as for the first time the best seller is now based on the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB).

FCA is to install Solar Power Production Units at its Mirafiori complex, consisting of photovoltaic panels covering 150,000 square meters capable of producing 15 MW of electricity.
