“We’ll probably not take over Cablelettra,” Roman Karkosik, the largest shareholder in Boryszew S.A., said at a press conference on Monday.
The stumbling block is the Italian official receiver, who has not yet invited tenders for the assets of the insolvent automotive supplier. In early September 2010, the daily Puls Biznesu reported, citing the spokesperson for Boryszew, that the company was likely to begin negotiations with the receiver for Cablelettra in October.
Cablelettra, the wire harness manufacturer, has been insolvent for more than a year. The supplier has16 plants, including in Italy, Poland, China and Brazil. Cablelettra’s Polish plant is located in the town of Mikołów.
