In July, General Motors Manufacturing Poland (GMMP)’s production was 117 percent higher than in the same period of last year, with Astra IV’s accounting for more than 73 percent of all the vehicles made.
In the same month, production of Zafira’s, whose production was ceased in July, was 1,998 vehicles, the highest figure since March this year. The remaining part of the plant’s production was Astra III saloon. It is important to note that the plant was not working the full month, as it stopped production for the summer holiday season on 26 July. The plant will go back to work on 16 August.
In the seven months of this year, the Opel factory in Gliwice assembled 94.1 thousand vehicles, up by 67.6 percent compared to a year ago.
