NSG Group, the world leader in the glass production and owner of Pilkington brand, opens a Shared Service Centre for European countries in Poland. The Centre will employ 60 people. NSG Group, the owner of Pilkington brand, producer of glass and glass products for the construction and automotive industries, launches a Shared Service Centre in Poland. The centre will be dedicated to serving the group's operations in Italy, the UK, Germany and Poland. The Shared Service Centre will be located in Sandomierz and will serve the concern's plants in the scope of IT, accounting and procurement.
The centre establishment project was launched in June 2012 and the centre is planned to be opened in October 2012. At present works are carried out to build a specialised team of employees.
"What influenced the decision of NSG Group to launch a Shared Service Centre in Sandomierz was the IT service operating successfully for last 5 years, serving all plants of the group on a 24/7 basis", said Monika Kuczyńska, the NSG Group HR Director for Poland and Czech Republic. "High assessment of the quality of the existing service and economic factors contributed to making a decision to launch of the Shared Service Centre in Sandomierz”.
Apart from the selection of the location of the new centre, other assets included: stable financial situation of the Companies in Poland, competitive labour costs and availability of candidates interested in work for NSG Group in Sandomierz. The new investment of NSG Group is another step towards the reduction in the unemployment level in the region. The launch of the new centre means 60 new work places for people from Sandomierz and its surroundings.
