The Commercial Court in the city of Bydgoszcz declared the bus maker Solbus, based in Solec Kujawski, bankrupt.
The bus maker was established in 2001 at the site of a former Kujawskie Zakładz Napraw Samochodowych that operated there for 40 years.
Solbus became financially illiquid after losing a contract for the delivery of buses for Cracow.
From March, the bus maker had problems with meeting the deadlines for payment of wages to its 150 employees.
The company’s management board hopes to enter into an agreement with the company’s creditors, which would enable the company to repay its debt within around four years thanks to its existing contracts.
