On 26th June the company Gedia Poland Sp. z o.o. opened the first hot forming line in Poland. The enterprise from Nowa Sól, which has so far been known for cold pressing, bravely and on the grand scale enters the new and more advanced level of production. Thanks to it, the company offers a wider range of products to motor companies.
The undertaking, which is worth seven million Euros, consists of, among others, a 40-meter hybrid furnace, a press of 2000 tons push with a table measuring 5,000 mm x 2,800 mm. The line’s material capacity is as much as 4.7 tons an hour.The main advantage of products manufactured in the hot forming technology is smaller mass at the much bigger hardness of car body parts, which means much better passengers’ protection in case of an accident.
