The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €125 million loan with Umicore, the Belgian-based global materials technology and recycling group, to finance part of the greenfield production facility for cathode materials in Poland.

In making their investment decision, the company, from the electromobility industry sector, was supported by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

The expansion of the Bridgestone Poznan factory is proceeding. January 20 marked the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone, which symbolically commenced the next important stage of this process - the construction of new production halls.
